- The Regional Operations Manager (ROM) role supports the National Operations Manager's (NOM) development of the business' "Growing and Operational Excellence" foundation by providing strategic direction and leadership to the company through directing and managing the specified regionals operational activities.**_Responsibilities _**
- _Promoting a safety-first culture ensuring commitment to safety, chain of responsibility and quality requirements _
- _Creating a culture of continuous improvement across your regions of responsibilities through Leadership focussing on people development, role clarity, adherence to processes and procedures and modelling good behaviour. _
- _Directing and monitoring operational aspects of S&OP, operational budget and Capex budget process. _
- _Direct and monitor Farm, Packhouse and Engineering pre-season, in-season and post-season processes. _
- _Working collaboratively with the QA, Engineering and Supply chain functions to provide input to overall divisional business and operational strategies _
- _Implementing innovative processes to reduce costs, improve productivity and improve quality. _
**_Requirements _**:
**_Education / Experience / Skills _**
- _Minimum ten (10) years' experience in a food production, manufacturing environment/FMCG _
- _Minimum five (5) years' operational management experience _
- _Operations experience in a farming environment desirable _
- _Strong business acumen with a strategic understanding of business drivers, market knowledge, and contemporary operational risk issues _
- _Strong leadership and engagement skills to motivate staff to deliver operational excellence _
- _Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships based on respect and trust across all levels of the business _
