About the role If you've built your career on the production floor and know how to lead from the front without getting dragged into the weeds, this is the kind of role that rewards that experience. We're looking for a Shift Supervisor to join our Cemintel site in Wetherill Park, stepping into a critical leadership role as we introduce a fourth shift to maintain production output and support ongoing demand. This isn't a placeholder role — it's a key part of keeping the plant running effectively while major equipment upgrades are still a couple of years away. Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, you'll take ownership of one of four production crews (approx. 12 direct reports), leading performance, safety, and operational discipline across a 24/7 manufacturing environment. This is a true leadership role — not hands-on — where success comes from how well you coordinate people, drive accountability, and keep production on track. 24/7 operation – rotating 12-hour shifts (6am–6pm / 6pm–6am) Average 38-hour week roster Key Responsibilities Lead and manage shift teams to deliver safe, consistent, and efficient production outcomes Drive performance through daily production tracking, KPI alignment, and structured shift communication Run toolbox talks and production meetings, ensuring clear documentation and follow-through Champion CSR's Zero Harm / Never Walk Past safety culture on every shift Apply lean principles (including 5S and waste reduction) to improve workflow and efficiency Monitor consumables, contractors, and inventory to ensure uninterrupted operations Analyse production data and implement practical improvements to cost, output, and quality Maintain production documentation including specifications and control sheets Work closely with production, inventory, and customer service teams to optimise scheduling and delivery About you Proven experience leading teams in a manufacturing or process-driven environment Strong leadership capability — you can manage performance, handle conflict, and hold people accountable Experience working in shift-based or continuous operations Solid understanding of lean manufacturing principles (5S, continuous improvement, waste reduction) Ability to interpret production data, track KPIs, and drive outcomes Confident communicator who can engage across all levels of the site Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel and Office tools Safety-first mindset with a track record of maintaining WHSE standards What we offer We strive to support your professional and personal growth.
