Senior Executive Band 2 – Executive Director, Government Business
Overview
Lead proactive and effective engagement with the Department's Ministerial Offices, Parliament, Cabinet and central agencies. Provide strategic advice, executive coordination and government business management to support the department's priorities and obligations. This full‐time, ongoing role is based in Parramatta with flexible work options.
Responsibilities
* Provide strategic advice and coordinate government business with senior decision makers.
* Engage with Ministerial Offices, Cabinet, and central agencies to align departmental priorities.
* Manage high‐level government business to ensure compliance with department obligations.
* Support the executive team in driving improved ways of working to deliver meaningful impact for students.
Qualifications & Experience
* Appropriate tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline (e.g., education, business, management, social sciences or communications), or equivalent knowledge and experience.
* Demonstrated understanding and commitment to the value of public education.
* Extensive experience at a senior level managing a large, complex organisation, ideally within a government agency.
* Experience in delivering service quality in resource‐constrained environments and driving strategic decision making.
* Commitment to implementing the Department's Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department's Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG.
