Southern Foodservice - Delivery Driver
Southern Foodservice is a proudly Tasmanian-owned food distribution business supplying quality products to restaurants, cafés, and caterers across the state.
We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused Delivery Driver to join our team based in Glenorchy. This is a full-time role, Monday to Friday, with 6:00am starts. Deliveries are across Southern Tasmania, with an immediate start available.
About the role
This role is central to how our customers experience Southern Foodservice. You will be responsible for delivering orders accurately, on time, and with a high standard of service. When not on the road, you will support the warehouse team to ensure orders are prepared correctly and ready for dispatch.
You will represent the business professionally at customer sites and maintain clear communication with our support office throughout the day.
Your day will include
* Delivering orders across Southern Tasmania along an allocated delivery run
* Providing friendly, professional customer service at each delivery point
* Checking all deliveries carefully to ensure stock matches invoices
* Using our Sign on Glass delivery system to complete deliveries and confirmations
* Communicating clearly with the support office regarding deliveries, issues, or changes
* Loading and unloading delivery vehicles safely and accurately
* Following delivery schedules and routes as planned
* Assisting in the warehouse with picking, packing, and general duties when required
* Maintaining cleanliness and care of delivery vehicles
What we're looking for
* Medium Rigid (MR) truck licence, required
* Forklift licence (LF), required
* Previous delivery driving experience, highly regarded
* Strong customer service and communication skills
* High attention to detail and accuracy
* Reliable, punctual, and safety-focused
* Willingness to assist in the warehouse when required
