As a Senior Research Agronomist (On-farm Breeding Research) working within a diverse and energetic team, you will provide support to the current research team evaluating germplasm across multiple field sites to improve economic and export outcomes.
Key aspects to the role include technical agronomic knowledge to conduct research field trials, coordinate and implement a field work program, possess computer literacy for management and curation of multiple forms of breeding generated datasets, ability to understand commercial breeding outcomes, have strong communication skills, and can work both independently or as part of a team.
You must possess a: A Bachelor degree (AQF level 7 or equivalent) or higher in Agricultural Science, Applied Science or Rural Science in a field relevant to the position from a recognised tertiary institution.
Broadacre dryland pulse research and breeding experience is highly desirable.
Current 'C' class drivers' licence (preferably manual) and desirably hold a fork-lift Licence You will have an ability and willingness to travel, including overnight, to service research sites.
You will have a keen eye for detail, great time management and effective problem-solving skills, with a positive attitude, to contribute to our close-knit and connected team.
