About the Role 
The School seeks to recruit a Postdoctoral Research Associate positions to support research funded by the 2024 UTS Strategic Research Accelerator (SRA) program. 
The Postdoctoral Research Associate will undertake research at the Faculty to develop scalable devices to couple electrochemical hydrogen production with oxidation of ammonia. This position is part of a two-year research project funded by the DVCR's 2024 UTS Strategic Research Accelerator (SRA) Program. 
UTS prides itself as a world-leading research institution. Our research is known for delivering positive global outcomes and impacts. In this role, you will join a research team working with UTS academics and PhD students to deliver impact on green hydrogen and chemical production. 
About You 
As the successful candidate, you will have strong practical expertise in device design and modification with experience working on industry or contract-based projects. You will have a Solid commitment to teamwork, support, and accountability. You will also have; 
- A PhD Degree in electrochemistry or a very closely related field
- Comprehensive knowledge of techno-economic analysis
- Demonstrated experience in electrochemical reactions such as HER, CO2RR, N2RR, and ORR
- Proficient in electrochemical analytical techniques, including EIS, LSV, CV, i-t, and ECSA
- Skill in a wide range of materials characterization techniques, such as SEM, XRD, Raman, IR, XPS, TEM, NMR, GC, and MS
- Demonstrated track record in the areas of electrochemistry through high quality research and/or awards
- Extensive experience in designing and fabricating electrochemical reactors

Remuneration/Salary 
Remuneration & Benefits 
Base Salary Range: $94,152 - $114,672 pa (Level A) 
This role attracts 17% superannuation (pension) in addition to the base salary.

This position is full-time and appointment will be made on a fixed term basis for 18 months.
