Entura is involved in an exciting range of projects spanning water management, renewable technologies, dam surveillance, environmental management, and power generation/transmission/distribution where we collect, analyse and present data from monitoring sites, many of which have been designed and installed by the **Water Management Team**.
The role is multi-faceted, involving client management, technology research, assessment and selection, network architecture design and integration, commissioning, system and database maintenance, data analysis and data visualisation (Web and Mobile Applications).
Work from either Hobart or Adelaide.
**What you’ll bring**:
We will teach you what you need to know but there are a few things that will set you apart:
- A recognised tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or Communications.
- Demonstrated project experience in a consulting or service environment.
- 2 to 3 years of demonstrated experience in time-series database systems (e.g. AVEVA PI).
- 3 to 5 years of demonstrated experience in designing and developing complex distributed IT solutions (e.g. cloud, distributed systems or IoT integrated solutions).
- At least 2 to 3 years coding experience (Python, JavaScript, Campbell Scientific CRBasic,.net Core, C++, C#, Basic).
- Experience with DevOps tools such as GitHub, Docker, Puppet and VS Code in a cloud environment.
- Australian drivers licence - preferably manual.
If you have done any of the following, we also want to know about it:
- Remote monitoring.
- Telemetered datalogging systems (local radio, cellular, LoRaWAN satellite networks).
- Experience in radio mesh, p2p, or p2mp network modelling and testing.
- Working with time-series, image and audio instrumentation, databases and data.
- Database management (Aveva PI, Indicium Stack software experience a plus).
- Microsoft Azure.
- Windows and Linux Server system administration.
- Cyber security experience.
- Further tertiary qualifications and/or experience in related disciplines, such as management, or project management (equivalent to AQF Level 4).
