About the Role:
The role will form part of the core professional group and will contribute strongly to the overall design capability of the team. The position is project-focused and involves engineering design for the mining, minerals processing, and utility sectors.
Skills and Experience:
The experience we are seeking includes the capability to take on a variety of roles within a project, from the design and planning stages right through to finalization and delivery. Candidates for the Electrical Engineer role will have between 3-5 years of experience, preferably in a consulting environment, with solid exposure to mineral processing or materials handling. Ideally, your career will have included:
* High voltage and low voltage systems engineering design
* Design of Motor Control Centres
* Instrumentation specification and selection
* Development of design deliverables including cable schedules, equipment lists, and instrument lists
* Design of Single Line, Schematics, and Termination Diagrams
* PLC, HMI, and SCADA design, programming, and fault finding
* Specifying major equipment
* Report writing
* Working in unsupervised and team environments
* Collaborating with designers/drafters
* Consulting experience
* Site work, commissioning, and willingness to travel to remote locations
Key Requirements:
To be successful, you will also have:
* An Electrical Engineering Degree recognized by Engineers Australia
* A positive, can-do attitude
* Commercial awareness
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills – written and spoken
