Overview
As a Surveyor with RPS you will have a pivotal role in our exciting surveying projects. Your responsibilities will include providing expert advice, management, and instruction on a range of surveying projects; developing and maintaining a strong client base in the infrastructure and development sectors; conducting fieldwork, calculations, data processing, and total project management; and offering operational support to the Survey Manager for resource planning and staff mentoring.

Your Skills and Abilities
* Survey: Competent in various survey functions, from contour and detail surveys to building set-outs and basic cadastral surveys; execute survey tasks efficiently with precision; uphold our Quality Assurance system with independent checks, standard procedures, and meticulous records; communicate effectively with fellow Surveyors, Survey Assistants, and RPS staff; engage with contractors, consultants, and clients on-site as needed; and seek clarification when challenges arise.
* Business Development: Proactively bolster RPS's reputation as the preferred supplier to stakeholders; cultivate and fortify relationships with clients and internal/external partners; maintain a professional public profile at all times.
* Education and Experience: Formal qualifications as a Surveyor with a degree in spatial sciences and registration with the QLD Surveyors Board; a Cadastral Surveyor endorsement in Queensland or ability to transfer from another Australian state or New Zealand; minimum 5+ years of recent surveying experience across diverse projects; demonstrated project management, client management, and staff leadership/mentoring experience; exceptional time management; proficiency with surveying equipment and software (preference for Trimble and 12D); ability to work in a technically complex environment and meet project milestones; strong technical and communication skills; and right to work in Australia (sponsorship not provided).
