The Role
An opportunity has become available for a Nurse Unit Manager (Alcohol and Other Drugs Services) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
- Lead the integration of the key objectives from the Strategic/Operational plans into service delivery for the assigned work unit
- Integrate the principles of contemporary human, material, and financial resource management into service delivery
- Manage change at a local level including the integration of strategic direction and priorities for quality improvement
- Lead and manage staff by fostering and committing to consumer safety and quality in the delivery of health care
About you
**To be successful in this position you will require**:
- Bachelor of Nursing (or equivalent)
- AHPRA Registration
- Credentialing through the College of Mental Health Nurses, or be prepared to work towards in an agreed period
- Driver Licence
- Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella (Chicken Pox), Pertussis (Whooping Cough), Hepatitis B and COVID 19
- Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
- Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

- Permanent full time
- Base salary ranging from $135 354 - $141 234per annum

The Gold Coast Alcohol and Other Drugs service is a specialist service that provides a range of treatments for the severe and complex drug and alcohol individuals and families, providing a range of community-based programs and hospital-based services. Based in Southport and Palm Beach.
