What You Need To Know
* Permanent full time – 76 hours per fortnight
* The package: $59,838 to $71,358 plus superannuation per annum
* Location: South Grafton, NSW
* Access to fitness passport
* 9 day fortnight
About The Role

Are you passionate about animal welfare and making a positive difference in your community? Council is seeking a dedicated and motivated Assistant Animal Control Officer to join our team and support the daily operations of Council's Animal Shelter and companion animal services.

In this hands‐on role, you will play an important part in ensuring the health, safety and wellbeing of animals in our care. Your responsibilities will include maintaining a clean and safe shelter environment, feeding and exercising animals, assisting with kennel and cage maintenance and undertaking associated administrative tasks. You will also contribute to community education initiatives that promote responsible companion animal ownership and awareness of regulatory requirements.

This position offers valuable experience within a progressive local government compliance environment and provides opportunities for professional growth. Higher Grade pay opportunities may be available for applicants who demonstrate the skills, capability and commitment to undertake Animal Control Officer duties.

Using an example from your employment and/or study please advise us how you ensure your work is accurate, informative and can be relied upon by others.

Other Important Information

This position is located at Council's Animal Shelter, however, this may change should business needs identify other work locations to be more appropriate to deliver our services in the future.

A probation period applies to this position.
