Position Overview

Reporting to the Branch Manager, the Sales Manager is responsible for leading all sales activities to drive revenue growth, strengthen customer relationships, and maximise market opportunities. The role exists to ensure sales and margin growth for the branch through excellent leadership of the sales team, the implementation of effective sales strategies, and the development of strong customer relationships. The Sales Manager also plays a key role in achieving branch objectives aligned with Alspec's vision and standards. This position requires a proactive and influential leader who can balance strategic planning with hands-on customer engagement, ensuring high performance across the sales function while fostering a culture aligned with Alspec's values.

Key Responsibilities:

* Build and maintain strong customer relationships through regular visits, proactive engagement, and effective resolution of customer issues.
* Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing sales team, ensuring alignment with branch goals and company values.
* Analyses branch sales performance to identify opportunities, guide sales strategies, and support Area Managers in achieving results.
* Develop and implement sales and pricing strategies that enhance long-term profitability and market growth.
* Promote and coach exceptional customer service standards across the branch, ensuring continuous improvement and staff development.
* Oversee territory management and lead allocation to maximise coverage, identify new opportunities, and drive consistent sales growth.
* Review and approve quotes and tenders in line with company policies, ensuring competitive and profitable outcomes.
* Prepare and manage annual sales and margin budgets, providing regular performance forecasts and insights.
* Collaborate with internal teams to contribute to national sales strategy, product development, and market initiatives.
