We are seeking an experienced and proactive Senior People Advisor on a 9-month contract to support the Human Resources function for the T2D Project. This role is critical in ensuring all people management activities including recruitment, onboarding, training & development, performance management, remuneration, cultural diversity, employee relations, and international mobility are conducted effectively, in line with legislative requirements and project policies.
You will work closely with internal stakeholders and project teams to deliver HR initiatives that enhance workforce capability, support project objectives, and foster a positive, inclusive workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the full recruitment lifecycle: selection, appointment, onboarding, and induction.
* Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies and procedures in line with legislation and best practice.
* Identify and support training and development needs, including program development and facilitation.
* Provide recommendations to enhance performance management processes and remuneration frameworks.
* Lead cultural diversity initiatives to promote an inclusive workplace.
* Manage international mobility, including relocations, visa requirements, and associated HR support.
* Monitor HR compliance, identifying opportunities for improvement or change initiatives.
* Supervise and mentor the HR Advisor and Coordinator, building team capability.
* Provide data, reports, and insights to support continuous improvement in HR practices.
* Lead HR project initiatives, facilitating meetings and preparing presentations for stakeholders.
About You
* Post‐secondary training or TAFE certificate in HR, IR/ER, Education, Psychology, or Business (degree preferred).
* Strong knowledge of employment legislation, regulatory frameworks, and HR best practices.
* Proven experience in HR project work, delivering initiatives and leading outcomes.
* Experience managing a small HR team.
* Knowledge and experience in international mobility and expatriate HR processes.
* Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, and organisational skills.
* Ability to work in a fast‐paced, dynamic project environment while maintaining compliance and high‐quality outcomes.
