About the Role
We are seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to join our team, responsible for designing and implementing primary systems for Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and grid connections up to 132kV.
This role focuses on ensuring the reliability, stability, and efficiency of electrical networks by designing and integrating advanced primary systems tailored for BESS and high voltage grid connections.
You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver robust and compliant solutions.
Key Responsibilities
* Conducting technical assessments, developing detailed design specifications, producing bills of materials, providing input to procurement exercises, and ensuring adherence to industry standards, safety in design principles, and regulatory requirements.
* Enhancing the operational performance of electrical networks and supporting the transition towards a smarter, more resilient grid by leveraging state-of-the-art technology and best practices in primary systems engineering.
Requirements
* Comprehensive understanding of equipment issues such as performance, acoustics, fire safety, spacing, and other critical factors.
* Extensive knowledge and layout experience for large-scale BESS installations and their cable collector systems.
* Experience in BESS Design/Development.
* ASP3 Accredited.
* Proficiency in AutoCAD.
* Engineering degree in a relevant discipline.
