Overview The Manager Sales Engineers is responsible for coaching motivating and managing a team of technical sales professionals who are responsible for assisting the Sales team in winning new customers and maximizing revenue. This position manages the technical sales process; supporting the uncovering and closing of opportunities by ensuring sales teams have support in necessary RFPs customer meetings presentations and demonstrations. This role acts as a coach and mentor and will work closely with their team to set objectives inspect and measure performance and reward productivity. The Manager Sales Engineers is also responsible for driving process improvements and efficiencies inside of the Technical Sales group. What you will be doing Manage, motivate and lead team members to drive forecasted opportunities, prioritized by revenue and projected sales closing dates, while maintaining alignment to sales goals for the team Act as a coach to the technical sales staff, inspecting key deliverables and guiding employees to provide best in class technical sales support in all stages of the sales process. To support this, travel will be required to ensure active involvement in sales activities Work closely with Sales and Global Technical Services team members to identify business requirements, determine functional approaches and align development projects with overall company and strategic objectives Lead improvement initiatives by addressing market segment performance of current and new solutions, impacting potential revenue growth and preventing maintenance loss Champion, communicate, and take personal ownership of the team's success criteria, establishing metrics, thresholds, and targets to drive performance in alignment with the team's business plan of traditional, non-traditional and emerging markets Provide solution expertise in major client presentations, conferences and user group meetings Engage Company Professional Services to transfer knowledge, articulate solution vision, or identify potential issues in the creation of estimates or contracts for forecasted opportunities and new customers Ensure that all daily communication, activities, and follow-up items are thoroughly documented in the Customer Relationship Management System What will make you successful Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, Business or Computer Science or related experience Significant relevant software sales experience Minimum 3 years managing pre-sales engineers Strong leadership qualities, with a positive, energetic attitude on all assignments Experience driving business and technical requirements initiatives in support of the sales cycle Strong planning abilities, able to successfully orchestrate teams in time sensitive initiatives Exceptional problem solving ability, with creative solutions for challenges Ability to build a strong teaming culture Passionate, competitive and intellectually curious Advanced written and oral communication skills Or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the principal duties of the job J-18808-Ljbffr
