About the Position: As a licensed land surveyor, you will report to the Survey Manager and provide subject matter expertise and leadership in meeting cadastral surveying requirements on major rail and road projects. This involves coordinating and creating plans for submission to the Surveyor General Victoria and Land Use Victoria, as well as providing survey advice to various stakeholders.
This is a contract, full-time position.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Contribute to the development of the Survey team's skills and capabilities by documenting processes and mentoring junior team members.
2. Offer specialist technical advice on the survey program, ensuring it meets required standards.
Requirements and Expectations: To succeed in this role, you will need strong leadership and communication skills, along with excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. You should be able to work effectively in a team environment, coordinate multiple tasks, and prioritize your workload to meet deadlines.
Essential Skills and Qualifications: A minimum of 5 years' experience as a licensed land surveyor, preferably in a similar role. Strong knowledge of Australian cadastral surveying principles and practices, including legislation and regulations. Proficiency in relevant software applications, such as AutoCAD and Trimble Business Center.
