About the role
We are seeking a Senior Transport Planner to join our Transport Planning and Advisory team in VIC to work on a range of exciting projects locally and nationally. You will be responsible for undertaking a range of responsibilities, from problem solving and innovation, data analysis, report writing, stakeholder and community engagement, and developing client relationships.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with some of the foremost experts in transport, landscape architecture, design, and urban planning in Australia. Your role will also involve working across disciplines within our transport team including engineering, design and analytics.
Day to day tasks would involve:
* Deliver a variety of transport planning projects as a transport planning technical specialist with a focus on public and active transport, transport strategies, precinct master planning, community and stakeholder engagement, and large-scale events
* Provide technical guidance with regards to transport planning solutions for our clients and contractors, and supporting stakeholders and clients throughout proposals and projects
* Applying good practice and innovative solutions to meet client needs and achieve desired outcomes, while aligning with relevant standards and guidelines
* Manage projects to ensure they are completed on time and within budget meeting all deliverable requirements
* Collaborate with multi-discipline teams and work with an energetic and motivated team of professionals in a supportive and encouraging environment.
To be successful for this role you'll need:
* Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering, Town Planning or a related discipline
* Minimum 5 years of previous transport planning experience
* Ability to describe complex transport issues in an easy to understand and presentable manner
* Desire to work across multiple projects simultaneously, engaging with teams and clients effectively, be hands-on and driven to deliver
* Experience in delivering high quality reports and presentations
