About The Opportunity
Blacktown Leisure Centre Stanhope is an award-winning multi-purpose facility that offers high quality programs and services. It includes an indoor aquatic centre with a 25 metre 10 lane lap pool, wave pool, program pool, health and fitness centre, creche and function room facilities. We are seeking experienced and energetic Group Fitness Instructors qualified in Les Mills programs or Aqua Aerobics to join our Key Venues team at Blacktown Leisure Centre Stanhope. Position Purpose
The role includes:
* Conducting group exercise classes to attract the maximum participation level
* Facilitating quality customer service through a competent, committed and confident approach
Cycle/RPM, Aqua Aerobics, Yoga, Zumba or other Les Mills qualified instructors are very much encouraged to apply.
Qualifications and Experience
* Accredited Fitness Leader (AUSactive, Fitrec, Physical Activity Australia or equivalent)
* Current CPR Certificate
* Experience working both within a team environment and as a self-starter
* Experience of working with schools, corporate groups, sporting clubs and/or associations
* Current Working with Children Check
Desirable Qualifications
* Current First Aid Certificate
* Accredited Group Fitness Instructor (e.g. Step)
* Accredited Les Mills Instructor
* Accredited Aqua Instructor
* Accredited Boxercise Instructor
* Accredited Yoga Instructor
* Accredited Pilates Instructor
Remuneration and Benefits
The salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with Blacktown City Council's Enterprise Agreement.
* For non-teaching hours, the entry level for this position starts at $34.6237 per hour plus 25% casual loading
* An hourly class rate applies at $60.00 for this position
* Casual working hours
* Penalty rates apply for weekend shifts
* Trainee rates apply for applicants under 19 years of age
* Employee benefits such as leave entitlements (where applicable), 12% employer contribution payable to your nominated superannuation fund, Fitness Passport, gym membership discounts, and social clubs
