We invite applications from suitably qualified Primary School Teachers with an ability to specialise in training students in Dance and Drama. While we prefer full-time profiles, we are open to receive part-time teacher profiles as well. This role is set to commence in Term 02.
The successful applicant should:
* Be a committed Christian who is actively involved in their local church
* Be able to provide a quality Christian performing arts education to students in Primary School with a commitment to educational excellence
* Contribute to the cultural life of the College community, particularly in Dance and Drama activities
* Hold a 4-year Bachelor's degree in education (or equivalent), with knowledge of current and proposed Creative Arts syllabus
* Expect to be part of a God honouring collaborative staff team
Applicants should have the following skills and attributes:
* Training and/or experience in Dance and/or Drama. Experience in organising and facilitating performance opportunities for students
* Actively contribute to planning, programming and assessment of Creative Arts KLAs, especially Dance and Drama
* Excellent communication skills to facilitate learning for large groups of Primary students
* Demonstrated ability to collaborate with the Creative and Performing Arts faculty in curriculum and innovative classroom practice
* Experience directing primary school productions along with an ability to cultivate creativity and a love for dance and drama in primary age students
This is an exciting and challenging position for someone who is passionate about Christian education, adopts a relational approach to their teaching, with demonstrated experience and a willingness to work collaboratively with other teachers, students and parents.
