About the Role
We are seeking experienced security professionals with proven experience in high-risk, highly structured environments. This role is based at the Nauru Regional Processing Centre, working within a highly structured, operationally sensitive environment.
Ideally, you will have a background in at least one of the following:
* Detention or Correctional Services
* Immigration or Border Security environments
* Large‐scale, complex security operations (e.g., defence, emergency services, custodial operations, high‐risk facilities)
If your background is primarily retail, event, hospitality, or static guarding, this role may not be the right fit.
Key Responsibilities
* Patrol, monitor, and respond to security concerns
* Maintain safe, respectful conditions for transferees, staff, and visitors
* Operate communication and access‐control systems
* Support emergency responses
* Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
Roster: 6 weeks on / 3 weeks off
Travel: FIFO from Brisbane (all travel and accommodation provided)
To be Successful
* Certificate III in Security Operations (or equivalent)
* Minimum 1-2 years of experience in detention, correctional services, immigration, or large-scale security operations
* Current First Aid & CPR (or willingness to obtain)
* Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
* Proof of COVID‐19 vaccination
* Ability to pass pre-employment checks: criminal history, medical, and drug & alcohol screening
* Australian work rights are required for this position
* A clear Australian Federal Police check clearance is required for this role.
