Housekeeping Attendants
We are currently seeking an experienced and self-motivated casual Housekeeping Attendants to join the busy team at the Mercure Kawana Waters on the Sunshine Coast.
Mercure Sunshine Coast Kawana Waters is a full-service hotel with 81 rooms, 3 function rooms, restaurant and bar. The hotel is open 24/7 and caters for mainly corporate and hospital guests, but also groups and leisure travellers. Located in the heart of the Sunshine Coast next to Sunshine Coast University Hospitals.
Owned by the National Rugby League and managed by leading hospitality management company 1834 Hotels, with a current portfolio Australia-wide network of hotels, resorts, apartments, restaurants, and other venues within the hospitality and tourism sector. Our Housekeeping Attendants play a key part of the daily hotel operations responsible for a high level of customer service and efficient cleaning of all accommodation areas.
Managed by leading hospitality management company, 1834 Hotels, this is an exciting chance to be part of a leading brand. The successful candidates will be dedicated, hard-working, and hands-on. Reporting directly to the Housekeeping Manager, Housekeeping Attendants are pivotal in ensuring the day-to-day housekeeping operations meet the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Service and clean all allocated guest rooms, ensuring tasks are completed to the required standard;
* Provide a high standard of guest and customer service at all times;
* Work together effectively and cohesively as part of a team;
* Assist guests with all queries and complaints, providing accurate information about property facilities and features;
* Comply with guest privacy and security procedures; and
* Stock and maintain the housekeeping trolley, ensuring adequate supplies and a presentable appearance at all times.
Ideal Candidate:
* A can-do, responsible, and flexible approach with a strong work ethic;
* Prior experience in a similar housekeeping role within a hotel environment;
* Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly demeanour;
* Proactive, with strong organisational and time management abilities;
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal;
* A passion for exceeding guest expectations and delivering high-quality service;
* Strong attention to detail and focus on accurate reporting;
* Impeccable personal presentation and grooming; and
* Strong appreciation and compliance with workplace safety standards.
