Job Description:
The Latymer, a premier fine dining experience, is seeking an exceptional Wine Service Professional to join their team. As a key member of the restaurant's wine service team, you will be responsible for delivering impeccable wine and beverage service to guests.
You will work closely with the Sommelier and Head Sommelier to ensure seamless execution of wine service, maintaining high standards of knowledge and expertise in wine, spirits, and other beverages.
Main Responsibilities:
* Ensure all areas are properly stocked and set up ready for service.
* Provide exceptional wine and beverage service, making recommendations to guests based on their preferences and tastes.
* Maintain accurate knowledge of wine lists, including descriptions, pairing suggestions, and prices.
* Assist with wine tastings, educational events, and other initiatives that promote the appreciation of wine and fine dining.
* Collaborate with the front-of-house team to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Demonstrated expertise in wine, spirits, and other beverages, including knowledge of production methods, flavor profiles, and pairing principles.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with guests and colleagues alike.
