Possess experience in glass replacement and glazing
**The Role**
- Measure and cut glass to the required sizes and shapes using glass cutters, saws, and other tools.
- Install glass in windows, skylights, storefronts, display cases, and other fixtures in buildings.
- Remove broken or damaged glass and install new glass, ensuring a secure and airtight fit.
- Read and interpret blueprints and specifications to determine the type of glass required and the installation procedure.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to prevent injuries and accidents. Wear protective gear and handle materials safely.
- Maintain and ensure the proper functioning of all tools and equipment used in the job.
- Communicate with clients to understand their needs and provide professional advice on glass types, design, and installation methods.
- Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality standards and client expectations.
