The opportunity
Our Kitchen is seeking an experienced Chef de Partie to join!
About you:
* Excellent creative passion and skill
* Ensure a smooth service for their designated section
* Maintain excellent presentation standards
* Prepare and present menu items showing variety and flair
* Have working rights in Australia
* Previous Chef De Partie or equivalent experience
To be successful within this position you will have a \"can do\" attitude, exceptional passion and skill.
You will also have exceptional personal & presentation standards as well as previous experience in a similar position.
Duties
• Controls general and specialised duties including supervision and training of other kitchen employees
• Ordering and stock control
• When it is necessary operates a section of kitchen and ensure that food standards, preparation, presentation and cooking techniques are carried out according to established recipes / standards.
• Liaise with Manager regarding the availability of menu items, additions to the menu and any relevant changes.
• Supervision of kitchen in the absence of the other staffs. Delegate duties and responsibilities to kitchen employees to ensure service demands are met.
• Maintain excellent presentation standards and cost control for all food and beverage outlets.
• Prepare and present menu items showing variety and flair, within the cost margins specified by the hotel.
