Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled professional to join our team as a Public Engagement Coordinator. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the success of our organization by supporting internal and external communications, reporting to the Media and Stakeholder Engagement Coordinator.

You will play a vital role in creating engaging written content for media, social media, publications, and other platforms, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to plan and deliver timely and effective communication messages.

This is a unique chance to contribute to a vibrant, high-performing team delivering impactful communications that support our mission and strategic goals. You'll gain exposure to a variety of internal and external projects and shape communications that connect with staff, students, and the community.


Key Responsibilities

* Support the delivery of key internal and external communication campaigns and projects.
* Create engaging written content for media, social media, publications, and other platforms.
* Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to plan and deliver timely and effective communication messages.
* Develop and publish digital content (images, videos, audio) for our promotional channels.
* Monitor and manage engagement across digital platforms, including scheduling posts and responding to content.
* Assist with media liaison, event coordination, and capturing multimedia content.
* Analyse and report on communication and engagement activity, including media and social media performance.


Requirements

* Knowledge and understanding of communication strategies, with demonstrated skills in writing and content development.
* Strong interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills.
* Proven time management, organisational, and problem-solving capabilities.
* Attention to detail.
* Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
* Ability to be flexible and resilient in a fast-paced environment when priorities may change.
* Experience using Microsoft Office and digital media platforms.
* Qualifications in communications, media, marketing, or related fields (desirable).
* Experience in visual communication (e.g., graphic design, photography, videography) (desirable).
* Open driver's license and working with children clearance (blue card) or ability to attain.
