About the Role
An ISO-accredited organisation delivering complex projects across NSW and the ACT, with experience spanning Defence, education, healthcare, and complex private-sector initiatives. With turnover exceeding $10M and a clear ambition to become a major industry leader, the organisation combines operational agility with enterprise-level systems and discipline.
Reporting to the General Manager, you will drive the company's growth across its various markets by identifying, pursuing, and securing new project opportunities. You will lead all business development and client partnership activities, building relationships with Defence, government, and private clients, developing winning proposals, managing tenders, and overseeing smooth handover from pitch to project delivery.
This is a pivotal role in positioning this organisation as the partner of choice for technically complex and design-led projects across the ACT and beyond.
About You
You will ideally hold tertiary qualifications in Business, Engineering, or a related discipline and bring 3-5+ years' proven success in B2B sales or business development.
You combine strong commercial acumen with exceptional communication and relationship-building capability, translating client needs into compelling, value-led proposals that convert into sustainable revenue. You bring a proactive, can-do attitude, are highly motivated by growth targets, and take ownership of opportunities from first contact through to close. You have hands-on experience with tendering and negotiation, and thrive on turning prospects into long-term partnerships.
Proven track record in securing new business through relationship-driven sales.
Confident in developing and executing business development strategies
Skilled in proposal writing, tender coordination, and contract negotiation.
Highly motivated, commercially astute, and able to work autonomously while collaborating cross-functionally with estimators, project managers, and operations teams.
