Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated Undergraduate or Graduate Mechanical Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on various projects in the Water and Wastewater Infrastructure Industry, including end-to-end process design activities.

The Engineering Cohort is responsible for ensuring that all design, drafting, and close-out documentation is completed accurately, cost-effectively, and in a timely manner. As an Undergraduate Mechanical Engineer, you will learn and build your competency in all these areas. As a Graduate Engineer, you will work closely with senior engineers and other team members on various projects, contributing to the design, development, and implementation of engineering solutions to real-world water projects.


About the Role

This position offers a hands-on learning environment where you will apply theoretical knowledge acquired in your academic studies to support the development of solutions in line with Engineers Australia Competency Framework. You will be expected to:

* Assist the Engineering Manager to deliver projects in a safe and environmentally sound manner.
* E nsure that work is completed in accordance with project specification requirements.
* Carry out design activities for projects as required.
* Complete project-related activities within time schedules.
* Assist the Project Manager in the preparation of project documentation.
* Develop and maintain close working relationships with staff, consultants, clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.


Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:

* You should be undertaking a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering degree.
* You should be organised, decisive, proactive, and determined in setting and achieving targets.
* You should be able to build strong and collaborative relationships.
* You should have intermediate skills in Microsoft Office including SharePoint, Outlook, Word, and Excel.
