Northern Rivers In Home Care provides high-quality, flexible inhome education and care services to families across the Northern Rivers region and the Gold Coast. We support children from infancy through to school age, delivering individualised, child-centred care in the comfort and safety of the family home.
Are you a childcare educator who still loves working with children but is looking for something more flexible, more personal, and with smaller ratios? Northern Rivers In Home Care offers a different way to work in early childhood education. You will support children in a home environment, working one-on-one or in small group settings with siblings from the same family.
This is an opportunity to return to what you love most about early childhood education -building meaningful relationships, delivering individualised learning, and working closely with children and families in a supportive environment.
Employment arrangement
All educator roles are offered under an independent contractor (self-employed) engagement model. Educators operate under their own ABN.

Turnable Creek, NSW
* Care: 1-year-old and 11-year-old
* Hours:
o Monday: 7:00am – 2:00pm
o Tuesday & Friday: 8:00pm – 8:00am (night shift)
o Thursday: 1:00pm – 8:00pm
* Shifts are generally consistent, however days may vary
Murwillumbah, NSW
* Care: 8-year-old child with complex needs (ADHD diagnosis)
* Hours: Tuesday – Thursday, 2:45pm – 7:00pm
* Flexibility required
Kingscliff, NSW
* Care: 5-year-old and 7-year-old
* Example shifts:
o Wednesday and Thursday: 6:00am – 9:00am
o Wednesday and Thursday: 5:00pm – 8:00pm
New Brighton, NSW
* Care: 3-year-old (transitioning to include infant care when the sibling commences preschool)
* Hours: Wednesday and Thursday, 8:30am – 3:30pm
* Flexibility required
Newrybar, NSW
* Care: 21-month-old twins
* Days: Wednesday – Friday
* Hours: Flexible arrangements
Coolangatta, QLD
* Care: 11-month-old twins
* Hours: Monday – Friday 8:00am – 3:30pm OR 8:30am – 4:30pm

Hourly rate
From $35.00 per hour, plus superannuation (depending on experience and qualifications)
Essential Criteria
Applicants must meet all of the following requirements:
* min Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care (ACECQA-approved)
* Completion of Geccko Training
* Current First Aid and CPR (Early Childhood specific)
* Valid Working With Children Check (NSW and/or QLD)
* National Police Check (issued within last 6 months)
* Public Liability Insurance (can be arranged post-placement)
* Medical Clearance
* Child Protection Training (completed within last 2 years)
* ABN (self-employed contractor role)
* PRODA RA Number (support available if required during onboarding)
* Aged 18 years or over
* Understanding of the National Quality Framework (NQF), National Quality Standard (NQS), and Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF)
