An exciting opportunity exists for a skilled Procurement Officer to join our client's team for a short term contract supporting a broad range of goods, services, ICT, and infrastructure projects. This role is ideal for someone with a solid foundation in procurement who can work independently and adapt quickly.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and manage medium and low-risk contracts
* Support the development of significant or higher-risk contracts
* Conduct contract negotiations and prepare procurement documentation
* Provide advice on procurement, contract renewals, and extensions
* Facilitate tender evaluations, due diligence, and probity processes
Skills, Attributes and Experience:
* 2–3 years minimum procurement experience, ideally within the government or public sector
* Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills
* Ability to work largely autonomously with minimal supervision
* Sound analytical and problem-solving abilities
* Strong proficiency with ERP software
* Quick to learn and navigate systems and processes
