About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical and assurance support to our teams in various locations, leading safety from the office to the field and maintaining our Integrated Management System.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure the requirements of our Integrated Management systems are being demonstrated and maintained.
* Advise on and coordinate the delivery of compliant practices, strategies, plans, procedures and training.
* Provide advice to assist with the identification, assessment, and control of risks. Ensure the hierarchy of controls is employed to reduce the risk to As Low As Reasonably Practicable (ALARP).
* Develop and implement policies, projects' Management Plans and documentation to improve outcomes.
* Assist audits, inspections, and investigations to ensure reporting, root-cause analysis and continual improvement.
* Provide support during external and internal audits and ensure that any non-conformances and other improvements are managed per procedure.
* Coordinate and, when required, lead incident investigation per procedure. Supporting injury management and safe Return to Work.
* Provide internal training to team members in safe working procedures and in the Integrated Management System.
* Proactively identify and execute new initiatives to improve performance.
Requirements
You will be a practitioner who has a successful track record of working in various environments, as well as an engineering environment. You will also have:
* Qualifications in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent, lead auditor accreditation (desired) and Training and Assessment certification (preferable).
* Experience in successfully developing and delivering compliant Management Systems.
* A strong understanding of regulations and codes of practice.
* Strong leadership and demonstrated ability to drive positive cultural change.
* Ability to engage with all levels of the organisation, clients and stakeholders to build trusting relationships.
* A willingness to travel to sites and offices across Australia and New Zealand.
* Sound administrative skills, including document and record management skills.
