The Position
As a Consultant Psychiatrist in a dynamic, multidisciplinary Mental Health Service, you will provide expert Consultation-Liaison psychiatric services across various clinical settings, including the Emergency Department and Mental Health Short Stay Unit. You'll work closely with medical staff, general practitioners, and agencies to guide the assessment and management of mental health conditions. In addition, you will supervise psychiatric registrars and other medical staff, promoting professional development and maintaining high standards of care. Essential criteria
- Specialist or limited registration with the Medical Board of Australia in Psychiatry
- Demonstrated ability to provide high-quality psychiatric care in a multidisciplinary setting
- Commitment to continuing professional development and contributing to a collaborative team environment
