What to except on your days in the office? A mix of juggling calendars, firing off emails, taking sharp meeting notes, wrangling data, answering calls like a pro, and keeping multiple systems humming. One minute you're organising onboarding, the next you're managing fleet vehicles or updating reports. This role will see you working with everyone: clinicians, managers and patients. It's like an organised whirlwind, and you're the calm in it. About us:
Central Queensland Mental Health Alcohol and Other Drugs Service (CQMHAODS): provides specialist mental health, substance and alcohol related care to residents of Rockhampton, Capricorn Coast, Gladstone, Central Highlands and Banana areas (catchment in excess of a population of 250,000) with services located in each area. Rockhampton is the principal service centre and as such provides the administration of the Mental Health Act, 2016, and is the location of the acute adult inpatient facilities. In addition, there is an Adult Step-Up Step-Down facility located in Gladstone and an Adult Community Care Unit located in Rockhampton.
About the role:
* Deliver efficient and confidential business and administrative support to a Central Queensland Mental Health Alcohol and Other Drugs Services team to ensure optimal delivery of clinical services.
* Have the ability to prepare agendas, accurately record minutes and action items.
* Demonstrated ability to work independently and prioritise tasks.
* Be flexible in managing workload according to urgent and immediate tasks to achieve organisational/team goals to meet conflicting deadlines.
* Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of consumers and with staff at all levels, including clinical, medical, administrative and management.
* Demonstrate knowledge or ability to gain knowledge of a large number of specialised Personal Computer (PC) based systems.
* Assist with recruitment process and onboarding of new staff.
About you:
* High level of interpersonal, oral and written communication skills, able to succinctly convey information.
* Effective team skills with the foresight to understand and respond to consumers and staff needs.
* High level of experience in Microsoft Office and ability to operate a range of software programs demonstrating a high degree of accuracy.
* Ability to work within agreed priorities, able to work independently on routine tasks and accept more challenging tasks.
* Willingness to positively contribute to the challenging needs of CQMHAODS.
What we offer:
Total monthly remuneration value of up to $8,382 p.m. is comprised of:
* An hourly rate between $39.98 - $44.61 p.h.
