This is an exciting opportunity to support high-quality science learning in a forward-thinking school committed to academic excellence, wellbeing and innovation.ResponsibilitiesReporting into the Head of Science, the Laboratory Technician plays a key role in supporting the delivery of engaging and safe science programs for students in Years 7–12.
Working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, you will:Prepare and maintain lab equipment and supplies,Assisting teachers with experiments and trialling experiments prior to class,Ensuring the safety, cleanliness, compliance and risk assessment processes are followed for the laboratoryManaging ordering, stock control and maintenance of laboratory equipment, andCompleting and updating risk assessments and safety documentation to ensure complianceTo be successful in this role...You are a proactive, organised and detail-driven professional who enjoys working both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
You communicate clearly, build strong working relationships, and take pride in producing high-quality work that supports teachers and enhances the student learning experience.QualificationsCertificate IV in Laboratory Techniques or higherExperience in laboratory environments — school experience highly regardedStrong understanding of laboratory processes, equipment and safety proceduresChemistry experience preferredExperience with Risk Assessment Software and Experience with PASCO Scientific Sensors (desirable)Current Working with Children CheckCurrent Criminal Record CheckWhy join Camberwell Girls Grammar?
