Midwifery Assistant Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our midwifery team as an assistant. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain experience and develop their skills in a supportive and inclusive environment.
The Maternity Unit at Singleton Hospital provides Level 2 & Level 3 care to patients, offering a range of services including shared care with GP Obstetricians. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to women and newborns.
As a midwife assistant, your key responsibilities will include assisting in the delivery of babies, providing postnatal care, and supporting women through the pregnancy journey. You will also participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
To be successful in this role, you will need to meet the following requirements:
* Be enrolled in the Bachelor of Midwifery program at University of Newcastle in second year, first semester or third year.
* Currently enrolled or successfully completed Midwifery Practice & Woman with Complex Care Needs A-MIDI 2105.
