Responsibilities
- Create targeted advertising schedules across all audio channels (based on client and agency briefs) with a clear focus on growing market share and revenue across your client base.
- Prospect for new business to continually expand your existing client base and revenue potential.
- Understand current market trading conditions and negotiate discounts for deals in collaboration with the Sales Manager.
- Facilitate the sale of premium inventory, including program sponsorships, sports sponsorships and spot packages.
- Act as the primary, day-to-day contact for key clients and agency personnel, prioritising and accommodating multiple concurrent advertising campaigns.
- Work collaboratively with a sales team and a Sales Coordinator, while actively engaging in problem-solving within the role’s responsibilities.
Qualifications
- A thorough understanding of media systems and measurement metrics.
- Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
- Demonstrated sales experience, ideally within a client-facing role or transferable category.
- Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
- Appreciation of market trading conditions and ability to negotiate trading discounts on casual business with the Sales Manager.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint; proficiency in Google Suite is desirable.
