In this rewarding role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Collaborate closely with families, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement personalised treatment plans that promote effective communication, swallowing, and overall quality of life.
- Utilise your expertise in augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices and strategies to facilitate meaningful interactions and increase independence.
- Actively participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, contributing your valuable insights and recommendations for holistic client care.
- Stay up‐to‐date with the latest research, best practices, and innovative approaches in the field of Speech Pathology, continuously enhancing your skills and knowledge.
Key Responsibilities
- Uphold clinical governance, ensuring compliance with legislation, standards, and Rocky Bay policies.
- Work collaboratively across interdisciplinary teams to ensure outstanding customer outcomes.
- Have a strong understanding of person‐ and family‐centred practice.
- Implement and promote contemporary best practice.
Qualifications and Experience
- A passion for making a positive difference in the lives of individuals with disabilities.
- Exceptional communication, problem‐solving, and interpersonal skills are essential.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Speech Pathology.
- Current registration with Speech Pathology Australia.
- Experience in building successful working relationships with customers, families, carers, and stakeholders.
- Proven experience in providing speech pathology services, preferably in a disability or community setting.
- Strong critical thinking, problem‐solving, and time‐management skills.
- Sound knowledge of Work Health & Safety and risk management.
