**About the Role**
As State Manager, you will play a pivotal senior leadership role, responsible for the holistic performance of the retail network branches across your designated states.
Reporting to the General Manager Network and Proprietary Distribution, you will lead a team of Regional Directors and work closely with the Retail Bank Leadership Team.
Your mandate is to deliver strategic and operational outcomes aligned with the Group’s goals—driving customer growth, experience, and retention, while ensuring operational excellence and compliance across all territories.
You will translate national strategy into actionable regional plans, foster a high-performance culture, and build leadership capability throughout the network.
The role is central to building strong relationships with customers, referrers, industry bodies, community groups, and sponsorship partners.
You will champion change initiatives, manage risk, and drive continuous improvement in customer experience and business processes.

You are an accomplished leader with proven experience managing multi-site retail banking operations and leading senior leaders.
Your background includes a strong track record in lending, business development, and managing large-scale budgets and P&L; to drive portfolio growth.
You possess deep knowledge of the Australian retail banking landscape, with expertise in credit, compliance, and operational risk.
Your leadership style is strategic and inclusive—you set clear direction, align teams to organisational goals, and inspire high performance across diverse regions.
You are commercially astute, data-driven, and adept at building high-performing teams through effective coaching and enablement.
You thrive in dynamic environments, confidently leading transformation and embedding new ways of working.
