Automotive Asst. Store Manager-Immediate Openings-Great Salary

The Midas Assistant Store Manager, along with the Store Manager, is responsible for business operations and store performance (safety, efficiencies, and profit/loss accountability). They promote customer satisfaction and retention, as well as growth of existing and new business. The Store Manager owns overall operations concerning cost control, inventory management, environmental compliance, and safety. They provide strong and consistent leadership to cultivate a harmonious, collaborative, and highly productive work culture.
We seek a seasoned manager with an entrepreneurial spirit who will take responsibility for operations, financial performance, morale, and growth initiatives. The ideal candidate has a college degree or some coursework (preferred), three years of experience in the automotive repair industry, supervisory/management/mentor experience, a background in continuous improvement, P&L experience, and exceptional interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities
As a Midas Assistant Store Manager, you will manage and direct all automotive and general service technicians in the shop, including:
* Recruit, hire, train, motivate, evaluate, schedule, and coach employees
* Deliver exceptional customer service, listening and consulting with customers
* Follow up with customers regarding services requested, estimated completion times, etc.
* Oversee complete vehicle inspections and make comprehensive recommendations—building computerized repair orders and sourcing parts
* Discuss pricing estimates with customers and promote shop service specials
* Lead, manage, and train the team while aligning with our company's vision, purpose, core values, and employee creed
* Oversee all sales, accounting, and clerical functions from Service Advisors
* Supervise technicians’ inspections, diagnostics, and repairs of domestic, European, and Asian cars and light trucks
* Maintain inventory counts and be responsible for inventory losses
* Ensure overall cleanliness and organization of the facility, including environmental compliance
* Manage employee payroll, record keeping of hours, and scheduling
* Update and submit daily sales reports to Corporate
Qualifications
* Minimum of 2 years of store or service management experience in automotive
* General automotive knowledge
* Strong POS computer and internet skills
* Leadership ability
* Flexibility to work retail hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays
* Valid driver’s license
