Role Overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic Junior Data Analyst to join our growing Technology Services – Data Analytics team, reporting directly to the Data Governance Manager. This entry-level role is perfect for someone passionate about data who wants to develop their skills in a supportive environment. You'll learn to work with our Azure cloud-based data infrastructure, develop Python skills for ETL, Fabric for Data Analysis, and Power BI for Data Visualisation.
You'll contribute to an exciting project rebuilding our Power BI reporting infrastructure while learning from experienced team members and gaining exposure to all aspects of data analytics in a diverse business environment. You'll also gain valuable experience working directly with stakeholders across all business units, developing your skills in technical communication and change management while assisting with training and documentation that transforms how teams interact with data.

Key Responsibilities
* Assist in collecting, cleaning, and preparing data from multiple sources
* Learn and develop Python skills for data processing and ETL pipelines
* Support the team in working with Azure cloud services and Fabric Data Lakehouse
* Create and maintain basic dashboards and reports in Power BI under guidance
* Assist in the rebuild of our Power BI reporting infrastructure
* Help track KPIs and prepare data for analysis by senior team members
* Learn data governance standards and help ensure data accuracy
* Support ad hoc analysis requests and documentation efforts
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Mathematics/Statistics, Computer Science, or related field (recent graduates welcome)
* 1 - 2 years of experience in data analysis or related internships
* Basic understanding of Power BI or similar visualization tools (coursework or personal projects count)
* Some exposure to Python (through coursework, bootcamps, or self-learning)
* Basic understanding of cloud concepts (Azure knowledge is a plus but not required)
* Strong communication skills and eagerness to learn
* Attention to detail and analytical mindset
Nice-to-Have
* Basic understanding of ETL concepts
* Experience using Python/DAX languages
* Familiarity with Power Query/Excel for business data analysis
* Exposure to version control (Git)
* Interest or coursework in retail or hospitality sectors
* Portfolio of personal data projects or visualizations
