Currently we have an excellent opportunity to deliver child & adolescent inpatient psychiatry across Sydney LHD services. They can offer granted private practice rights allowing you to generate income from treating private patients within the public system.
Salary: Up to $550,000 p.a. (£270,000) – inclusive of super, allowance and earnings from private access rights.
Position: Consultant – Psychiatrist (CAMHS) Inpatient
Hours: Full-time
Settings: Adolescent units, including high-dependency areas
Location: Sydney, NSW
Your key responsibilities will be;
* Acute assessment, risk formulation, safety planning
* Evidence-based pharmacology and psychotherapies
* Family meetings and school liaison
* Lead MDT ward rounds and discharges
* ED and medical ward consultation-liaison
* Supervise registrars and medical students
* Governance, audits, and research participation
For this role, we’re looking for someone who has;
* MBBS or equivalent registrable with AHPRA
* Must be on specialist register by CCT and MRCPSYCH
* Demonstrated leadership in multidisciplinary care
* Strong community psychiatry experience
