Professional 3 - Remuneration Package Range $130,663 - $146,130. Administrative Officer 7 - Remuneration Package Range $134,227 - $144,271. Policy and Governance, Darwin. One full time vacancy fixed for 2 years is available.
Selection will be made at the P3 or AO7 level depending on the qualifications of the successful applicant.
Responsibilities
* As the Compliance and Investigations Manager you will be responsible for the management of compliance, investigation and enforcement functions of the Authority in accordance with the Northern Territory Aboriginal Sacred Sites Act 1989.
* You will consult with a wide range of stakeholders including Aboriginal custodians, Aboriginal Land Councils, government agencies, landowners, proponents in the agricultural, mining, oil and gas sectors, and developers of public and private infrastructure.
* Manage the prosecutions in partnership with legal services and develop, review and implement policy relating to the compliance and investigation functions of the Authority.
* This is an exciting opportunity for someone who has an interest in preserving Aboriginal cultural heritage, working within a small and dedicated team to ensure the protection of sacred sites and be responsible for the management of the sacred site investigation and prosecution process.
