Overview
Undertake nurse-led clinics for common paediatric and neurodevelopmental conditions in the setting of social challenges in collaboration with paediatricians, trainees and allied health staff. Deliver education programs for parents, carers and support staff to support management of common childhood difficulties.
Responsibilities
* Undertake nurse-led clinics for common paediatric and neurodevelopmental conditions in the setting of social challenges in collaboration with paediatricians, trainees and allied health staff.
* Deliver education programs for parents, carers and support staff to support management of common childhood difficulties.
* Support statewide policy development, service planning, implementation of evidence-based practice and innovation to improve access, equity and outcomes for children, young people and families across Tasmania.
Requirements
* Registration: Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse.
* Current Working with Children Registration.
* Significant clinical experience in the practice area of understanding child abuse and neglect.
* Proven commitment to evidence-based practice activities and quality improvement with the ability to analyse service needs and plan, implement and evaluate services accordingly.
* Highly developed interpersonal, communication and presentation skills including the ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team environment and liaise with a broad range of people in a professional manner.
* Demonstrated ability to educate and influence a broad range of stakeholders including consumers and health professionals.
Desirable
* Postgraduate qualification in Nursing.
* Holds or is working towards a postgraduate qualification in the area of physical/sexual assault forensic and medical examination.
* Current Driver's Licence.
Salary and Benefits
* Salary: $118,297 to $125,543 per annum (Pro rata). Employer 12% superannuation contribution on top of this amount.
* Salary packaging and allowances: Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10% based on qualification type; other salary packaging benefits as eligible.

Appointment Details
* Permanent, part-time or full-time day worker positions with hours per fortnight as negotiated; commencing February 2026. Locations: North-West and South Tasmania.
