 
        
        Key Responsibilities
Sustainability initiatives encompass comprehensive city-wide programs focusing on food access, energy efficiency, climate resilience, natural resource management, and community well-being.
Project Management and Policy Support
 * Develop strategic plans for the City's sustainability initiatives in collaboration with stakeholders.
 * Conduct research and provide recommendations to stakeholders on sustainability issues.
 * Support project planning, timelines, budgets, and objectives for sustainability initiatives.
 * Provide project management support for solar projects, EV infrastructure, and food resilience initiatives.
Community Engagement & Partnerships
 * Collaborate with government, nonprofit, academic, and private sector organizations to advance sustainability and resilience.
 * Work with communities to develop strategies for environmental health, resilience, and food security.
Communications & Outreach
 * Maintain the sustainability webpage ensuring accessibility.
 * Prepare newsletters, marketing items, and other public communications.
Internal Coordination & Leadership
 * Provide leadership and mentoring to junior staff within the sustainability department.
Requirements
 * Bachelor's degree in a related field such as sustainability, environmental studies/sciences, public policy, urban planning, or a related discipline.
 * Moderate experience working for local government, performing policy analysis, project management, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
