**The Role**
Oversee a recently purchased 700Ha property just north of Young, owned by an off-farm industry professional family running a commercial self-replacing merino and lamb operation in conjunction to a substantial sheep trading enterprise.
The owners are now looking for a highly motivated, self-reliant Overseer or experienced Senior Station Hand wanting the step-up to take the 100% management of the livestock operations, plus take on the property and pasture improvements to bring it up to high production standards.
The role will suit an enthusiastic and out-going person with competent livestock experience, who understands the value of a close-knit unit, who wishes to gain further experience with a highly experienced and straight forward employer and build a strong career in the local industry.
Energy, ability and attitude will win this position.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Hands-on livestock management of sheep
- Animal husbandry best practice
- Stockfeeding
- Fencing & property maintenance
- Mechanical repairs and welding
**Key Requirements**
- Competent experience working with sheep
- Own working dogs essential
- Proficient in operating and maintaining farm machinery and motorbikes
- General farm management skills including fencing and welding essential
- A 'can-do' attitude and strong work ethic
- Ability to work unsupervised and show initiative
- Must be able to have a conversation and laugh with the owners and want to be part of a family orientated unit.
