MIMS has been supporting the Australian healthcare sector for the last 60 years through providing a trusted source of current, comprehensive medicines information. MIMS supplies data to hospitals, state health departments, GPs, specialists, pharmacists, teaching institutions, as well as supporting over 80 clinical software suppliers.
MIMS medicines database is updated monthly and includes information that helps to make safer, faster and more efficient medicines prescribing, dispensing and administration decisions. We work with partners to make information accessible and relevant. Examples include the AMT, PBS information, WADA use in sports advice, TGA safety bulletins, NPS Radar alerts, as well as the IM Gateway's evidence-based database of herb interactions.
Who We Are Looking For
We are seeking a detail-oriented Clinical Editor to lead the editorial development and maintenance of clinical monograph content. This role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, consistency and integrity of medical information, supporting operational workflows and collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders to deliver high-quality, evidence-based medicines information.
What Impact You Will Make
* Lead the creation, proofing and finalisation of clinical monographs in line with editorial standards and SOPs.
* Maintain and update monographs based on new evidence, product changes and user feedback.
* Coordinate editorial operations, prioritise tasks and monitor progress to meet scheduled deliverables.
* Review and update SOPs to ensure clarity and alignment with best practices.
* Collaborate with Product and Development teams to enhance user interface, data quality, and platform integration.
* Manage user feedback and engage with external stakeholders including hospital groups, government bodies, pharmaceutical companies and academic partners.
* Support editorial team with query resolution and quality assurance.
* Assist in communicating project updates, risks and progress effectively across teams.
What Skills and Experience You Will Bring
Education & Experience
* Tertiary or higher qualification in Pharmacy, Medical Science or related discipline.
* At least 3 years of relevant clinical experience, preferably within a hospital pharmacy setting.
* Strong written English skills with excellent attention to spelling and grammar.
* Proficient computer skills.
Desirable
* Experience with databases and online research tools.
* Previous editorial or clinical information team experience.
* Editing training or experience.
