Lead UX Designer Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Lead UX Designer to direct and guide research, design, and testing of interaction components with a service. The successful candidate will make decisions based on user needs in pursuit of the best service.
Main Responsibilities:
* Design intuitive, inclusive, and effective digital services for government users and the public.
* Provide expert guidance on design systems across multiple teams and products.
* Design and advise on user experiences within Salesforce platforms, ensuring usability and accessibility.
* Conduct and analyse usability testing and user research using qualitative and quantitative methods.
* Champion accessibility by ensuring compliance with WCAG 2.1/2.2 AA and AAA standards.
* Apply product and service design methodologies to identify UX gaps and strategic opportunities for improvement.
* Collaborate in agile teams to deliver high-quality UX/UI designs using Figma.
* Communicate design rationale and insights effectively to stakeholders at all levels.
Requirements:
* 5+ years of experience in senior UX/UI roles within the government or public sector.
* Significant experience in developing, maintaining, and governing design systems.
* Proven experience in designing and advising on user experiences for Salesforce platforms.
* Demonstrated expertise in usability testing and user research.
* Comprehensive knowledge of WCAG 2.1/2.2 AA and AAA standards.

* Baseline Security Clearance.
