In this role, you will make a meaningful contribution to Newcastle's evolution to a liveable, sustainable, and inclusive global city.As a Community Engagement Specialist, you will be responsible for building trust with the community and creating genuine, meaningful opportunities for the community to have input into the decision-making process. This includes encouraging inclusive participation across all demographics, ensuring decisions are informed by a broad range of community voices and lead to positive change for the Newcastle local government area.Your excellent interpersonal and analytical skills will be key to building trust and fostering clear communication between the community and City of Newcastle. You will provide strategic advice to internal stakeholders enabling genuine, well-informed engagement opportunities. You will draw on stakeholder analysis and awareness to tailor engagement approaches and select appropriate methods for different project contexts. Your ability to prepare high quality reports that communicate insights clearly and effectively will support transparency and continuous improvement.Working across the organisation, you will influence and support teams to embed engagement best practice, championing a collaborative approach that strengthens community relationships and enhances project outcomes.
