Our Plant in Kwinana, WA is currently looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join the team on a full-time permanent basis!
Reporting to the Maintenance Lead, this role will join the Kwinana maintenance team and will be responsible for day-to-day production support and process improvement projects and plant upgrades. The successful candidate will work closely with the production team to ensure smooth operation of the Kwinana Production Facility.
The successful candidate needs to be hands-on, results orientated, highly organised, motivated, innovative and agile. Ideally this role will suit someone who can work well independently as well as in a team. The successful applicant should have a positive can-do attitude and a willingness to learn.
The successful candidate must be able to work varying shift timing depending on operational requirements.
Key responsibilities include:
* Ensure the highest practicable level of plant availability for production
* Implement project works minimising and/or avoiding plant downtime
* Coordinate the preventative maintenance programs for all plant and equipment
* Assist in the implementation of safety action plan
* Identify, analyse and introduce improvement to the plant
* Ensure adherence to work procedures and systems in accordance with all relevant Australian Standards
* Coordinate and schedule contractors
* Respond to breakdowns and fault finding
* Identify issues and make recommendations for improvements in plant operations
* Personnel management responsibilities for maintenance team
* Prepare ad hoc reports as required
About you:
* Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related degree
* 1-2 years’ related experience working in a maintenance team coordinating both mechanical and electrical works
* Demonstrated experience working effectively with multiple stakeholders
* Experience in reading and understanding engineering drawings
* Strong problem-solving mind geared towards fault finding and root-cause analysis
* Demonstrated experience in a manufacturing environment/similar role is advantageous
* Experience using Microsoft Office (word, excel) is required, MEX (or other CMMS) experience desirable but not essential
* Basic understanding of CAD software
