Service Advisor – Rockhampton
RGM Maintenance is seeking an experienced and motivated Service Advisor to join our Rockhampton Branch.
Our Rockhampton branch is a fast-paced Daimler Trucks dealership, working with industry-leading brands including Mercedes-Benz Trucks, Freightliner, and Fuso. In addition to dealership work, we service a diverse range of vehicles such as Defence vehicles, fuel tankers, and many other specialised units — no two days are the same.
About the Role
Reporting to the Branch Manager, you will work closely with the Service and Parts teams to ensure a smooth workflow from job booking through to invoicing. This role is ideal for someone with a strong mechanical background who enjoys customer interaction and thrives in a busy workshop environment.
Key Requirements
* Mechanical background preferred
* Previous Service Advisor experience (preferred; training provided for the right candidate)
* High level of customer service focus
* Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* Excellent organisation and time management abilities
* Sound computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office
* Ability to perform to a high standard in a fast-paced environment
* Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Key Responsibilities
* Greet customers on the day of their service
* Act as the primary point of contact throughout the service process
* Explain service options, repairs, and processes clearly
* Prepare and manage repair orders and invoices
* Liaise with technicians and parts staff to schedule and progress jobs
* Order parts where required
* Complete and maintain accurate service documentation
* Update customer records and databases as needed
