Your Role
We're looking for a Medical Device Engineer to join our small, fast-moving team. You'll contribute to the research and development of our proprietary electrode systems and play a hands-on role in advancing our product from prototype to manufacturing. This is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of biomedical engineering, product design, and neuroscience.
Responsibilities
* Conduct R&D activities related to biomedical device components, including design, fabrication, and testing.
* Manage and maintain laboratory equipment, materials, and records in line with University of Sydney requirements.
* Support product development, including design reviews, manufacturing preparation, and quality assurance.
* Contribute to regulatory and certification activities for medical and consumer devices.
* Provide project management support, tracking progress, documenting outcomes, and coordinating with stakeholders.
What we're looking for
Requirement Qualifications
* Degree in Biomedical Engineering or related discipline.
* Hands-on experience in device R&D, prototyping, or testing.
* Familiarity with medical device standards, manufacturing processes, or certification pathways.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication and teamwork.
Desired Experience
* Experience with silicone, polymers, or wearable sensor development.
* Prior exposure to ISO 13485, IEC 60601, or similar regulatory frameworks.
* Background in neuroscience or sleep technology.
